About the project

We hosted a bicycle tour in the newly designated “Innovation district” to challenge what innovation meant. We developed a short multi-modal tour that explored current innovation, developed skills in participants, and explored the history of the area. We had seven stops, and at each stop we had a local expert present from BikeWalk Chattanooga, Bike Chattanooga, Chattanooga Organized for Action, Wooden Spoon Herbs, the 4th floor of the Public Library, and the Edney Building. We created a publication that explored these projects and was distributed at the event, at the public library, and at businesses throughout the ID. This publication also acted as a self-guided tour after the event.
